They have disease is because their body is not pure. Just not letting bacteria and virus getting inside your body does not guarantee you don't have disease. As a matter of fact, most of the diseases people have nowadays are from bodily harm developed slowly inside their body. And toxics are responsible for a large part of their bodily harm. Keeping your body pure is an important part of keeping yourself healthy and die without pain and suffering.

Toxics are substance that your body do not need. There are two kinds of toxics that can harm your body. One is toxin and the other is toxicant.

Toxin is a poisonous substance produced by cells or organisms. The ‘good’ bacteria living inside your body called microflora can produce toxin. The ’bad’ bacteria and mold that get into your body and make you sick also produce toxin. Parasitic infestation such as roundworm produce toxin. Some foods also contain toxin as part of their chemical make-up. Even your body cell also release some kind of toxin in the process of metabolism.

Toxicant is a poisonous substance that is not related with life process. They are chemical substance that enter your body and your healthy body don’t need them.

Nowadays most of our food are grown with synthetic fertilizer with the help of pesticide, insecticide and herbicide. These man-made chemicals are absorbed by the grain and vegetable as they grow. The cattle that we eat are also fed with these non-organic food. Some cattle are also given hormones and drug such as tranquilizer. Most of the food available on the market are these non-organic grain, vegetable and cattle which contain toxicant.

Some food additive are chemical substance made by man. Most of these man-made chemical substance are toxicant that our body don’t need. Please see my other article Food Additive.

The way we prepare our food can also produce toxicant. For example, when your food is overcooked and get burned. It produce a substance that can cause you cancer if you let enough of it get inside your body.

Food can become contaminated when placed in containers made with toxic materials, lead poisoning can occur from an earthenware pitcher used to store orange juice. Copper poisoning from soft drinks dispensed through tubing that has eroded to its copper base.

Most of the drug are man-made chemical that your healthy body don’t need. The term that describe the chemical that can harm your body is called side-effect. Too much drug can hurt your kidney. A damaged kidney is the cause of osteoporosis and Alzheimer's disease.

Drinking polluted water are another way that toxicant can enter your body through your mouth.

Smoke produced by factory and vehicle contain poisonous gas and particle such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide that can be harmful or fatal to your body.

Direct contact of some chemical with your skin can also harm your skin and enter your body.

As you can see, there are so many toxics can enter into or develop inside your body. Your body is under tremendous stress. You should help your body to get rid of them as soon as possible. Do not let them stay inside your body. The longer they stay the more they harm.

The better policy is don’t let them get inside your body. Avoid man-made food additive and eat only organic food. To help getting rid of them, drink enough water, wash your hand, brush your teeth and take bath often. Get rid of your urine and feces as soon as they develop. And most importantly, watch what kind of food you eat as some kind of food can help your body to get rid of them.

(1) Mung bean can hurry the metabolism with pesticide and heavy metal so that they can be excreted as soon as possible.

(2) Fiber can help our bowel movement so that our waste do not stay inside your body too long.

(3) Carrot can help our liver getting rid of mercury and heavy metal by combining with them to form a chemical that our blood do not absorb them.

(4) Tea contain anti-oxidant that can help getting ride of free radical.

This article is to be continued. I do not have time to finish it. Please support this website so that I have more time to write. To die naturally we will not have pain and suffering. To die naturally, we must live naturally and keep our body pure.

We also have to watch out danger from accident or bodily harm inflicted upon us from other people or other substance. We have to watch out the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and the kind of people we deal with. We also have to control our own temper. If we don't, we can easily have toxin and stress to our body. They are harmful to our body.

To avoid food toxin, it is better to eat real organic food without unhealthy food additives.

It is especially harmful to our body if we smoke. Smoking hurt our lung and respiratory system. It may even cause cancer. It is especially harmful to our body if we drink hard liquor. It hurt our liver and digestive system. It is especially harmful to our body if we take drug - all kind of drugs, even the kind of drug the doctor prescribed for us or they sell them over the counter. All drug have toxins.

If we have a pure body, we do not have disease. Then we do not need drug. If our body are not pure or we have bodily harm, then we can get disease easily. Avoid to have disease at all times. Occasionally, We are not careful and catch cold. At this point of our technology, we still do not have drug that can cure cold. Those drug for cold on the market are just to relieve the symptoms, if they can do anything. The immune system of our body usually can fight the cold virus and let us get over with the cold in a few days. If you don't, you might need to see a doctor. If you need to see a doctor for a cold, it means that your body is probably not pure or you have bodily harm inside your system.

We must avoid prolong contact with certain kind of vapor, gas, liquor and solid chemical. Stay away from radioactive material. They can do us bodily harm or even death. Observe the above, then we can die naturally without pain and suffering in our sleep.

Lifting up your body immunity

The strength of our immune system determines our ability to fight the bacteria and virus that attack us daily and protects us from the growth of abnormal cells. Sometimes the immune system fails to activate itself quickly enough to outpace the reproductive rate of a certain bacteria, or the bacteria is producing a toxin so quickly that it causes a permanent damage before the immune system could eliminate the bacteria. In these cases, it would be better to help the immune system by killing the offending bacteria directly. In fact, it is the best method to fight the bacteria and virus, not by using drug. Drug has toxin that is no good to the body. Drug has side effect that can create other medical problem. Doctor visit and drug are expensive.

Symptoms of a lowered immune system include dry skin, headaches, tiredness, aches and pains, weight imbalance, disrupted sleeping patterns and sickness. If you have these symptoms, it is probably you have a lowered immune system. If you catch cold or flu easily, it also mean that you have a lowered immune system. It is time to pay attention to your health. Following are some ways to help yourself by boosting your immune system:

(1) Eat lemon

Lemon is an ideal food for restoring acid-alkali balance. Drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice in water, or adding it to tea, salad dressings (in place of vinegar), baking or cooking, helps maintain the body's pH that supports healthy bacteria instead of the viruses and harmful bacteria which thrive in more acidic environments.

(2) Have a good night sleep

Sleep is linked to balanced hormone levels (including human growth hormone and the stress hormone, cortisol ), keeping weight down, clear thinking and reasoning, improved mood, and vibrant and healthy skin. Human body may need anywhere from 6 to 10 hours of sleep each night depending on individual needs.

A body that isn’t well-rested is less effective in fighting germs and in getting appropriate sleep levels. Sleep researchers in Germany vaccinated volunteers against hepatitis A infection, divided them into two groups, and ensured that one group had plenty of sleep while the second group was kept awake for 24 hours. Four weeks later the well-rested group had nearly twice the antibody level than the sleep-deprived group and showed a much stronger immune response to the vaccine.

(3) Eat right food

Studies have linked a number of foods and nutrients to the strengthening of the immune system:

• vitamin C (citrus fruit, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and bell pepper)
• vitamin E (nuts, vegetable oil, yam, mustard green and whole grain)
• garlic (also a natural antibiotic)
• zinc (beef, turkey, bean, oyster, crab, tofu and fish)
• bioflavonoid (fruit and vegetable)
• selenium (chicken, whole grain, tuna, lobster, shrimp, garlic, egg yolk, sunflower seed, brown rice)
• carotenoid (carrot, yam)
• omega-3 fatty acids (nuts, salmon, tuna, mackerel, flaxseed oil)
• beta-glucan (mushroom, maitake)
• l-theanine (tea)

A typical immune-boosting diet includes the following per day: five servings of fruit and vegetables, seeds, cold pressed oils, garlic, rich protein foods and whole grains. Eating small meals every few hours minimizes excessive intake and boosts your energy levels. Many herbs and spices such as turmeric, origanum, coriander, basil, mint, rosemary and cayenne pepper have antioxidant properties. Vitamins and minerals should be consumed through food, rather than through supplements, because the body absorbs nutrients from food more effectively. You may take supplements, since many people find it difficult to get all the vitamins and minerals from their diet.

(4) Drink enough water

Drinking plenty of water is important too. Our bodies lose three liters of water daily through urine, perspiration and breathing. Too little fluid in our body inhibits the efficient working of the blood and lymph systems which reduces energy and contributes to a sluggish feeling. Eight to ten glasses a day is recommended. This will help flush out toxins from the kidneys and is often one of the top suggestions for boosting immunity.

(5) Stop smoking

Smoking is devastating to the immune system because it destroys cilia, tiny hairs in the nose and lungs that help to catch foreign invading viral cells. Even if you breathe second-hand smoke, your cilia can take a beating that will translate to less disease-resistance.

As smoking directly affects our respiratory system, it contributes to coughs and colds. When you stop smoking your immune system begins to improve after 30 days.

(6) Stop drinking excess coffee

Stay away from large amounts of coffee or other caffeinated beverages. Coffee can do serious harms to your immune system and your health. It robs the body of minerals and vitamins, and causes dehydration. If you drink coffee, make sure you add an additional two glasses to your water intake per cup of coffee. A mineral supplement also helps to offset caffeine's damage.

(7) Avoid refined sugar

Avoid sweets and other junk foods. Sugar can make white blood cells (which are essential in protecting against infection) sluggish and can reduce the ability to fight germs by 40%. Junk food is also nutrient deficient and it can actually rob the body of nutrition. Don’t consume these foods, especially when you're fighting a cold or flu. Instead eat lots of fresh, organic veggies and fruits.

(8) Spend time outdoor and exercise

Most of us spend 90% of our lives indoors, inhaling dubiously filtered air and other people's germs, so you must go outside for some fresh air.

Regular, moderate exercise can boost your body's self-defense system. It supports the immune system by decreasing stress hormone production. It can make a noticeable difference to your health and happiness by releasing endorphins. Even if you go for a 30 minute walk every day, this alone will provide you with more energy, increase metabolism, improve heart, bowel and lung functions which will further benefit your immune system.

(9) Nurture yourself

Make sure to take out time for yourself, and to spend some time with friends. It is great to indulge yourself in a massage, a hot bath, or an energy work session when you feel like having one. Our bodies respond to our emotions - if you are stressed and anxious, it can manifest as a sore throat or a cold. It is imperative to pay attention to warning signs of sore throat or exhaustion so that you can prevent them from getting worse. As the mind influences the body, so laugh, meditate, play music, and stay happy.

(10) De-stress

Stress depletes the body of many essential nutrients including the immune boosting antioxidants. Stress also makes it difficult to get over a cold or flu. So try to control your stress levels with daily relaxation techniques.

(11) Eat organic food

Eating organic food can keep your body pure. Organic food are food that are grown without using pesticide, insecticide, herbicide or even synthetic fertilizer. Too much of these man-made nonnatural chemical accumulated inside your body can hurt your immunity system.

So, start off slowly with the above steps and introduce a new one daily or weekly. It will boost your immunity and will eventually make you feel good and full of energy. It does not cost you anything yet it can save you a lot of money in medical expenses. It is just a matter of changing your habits. Stick with those habits and you will be in top health.

Problem can be good and how to handle them

Problem help you to find and follow alternate methods,
which may lead you to bigger and better things. If the
typewriter ribbon breaks in the middle of a report that's
due in 30 minutes, the boss may understand the situation
is not your fault and grant you extra time to complete it.
This extra time may be what you need to take off the
pressure and help you relax to do a better job.

Problem are the first step in a new invention. Dr.
Scholl's foot medications would not be around if people
had not had problem with corns, calluses and other
ailments. We wouldn't have automobiles today if people
had not had problem getting from place to place quickly.
Every single invention was created because people had
problem with something, so problem can really be
motivational!

Problem help you to meet new friends. If you are
recently divorced, you may join a group and meet some
wonderful friends that will bring you into a better life
than the life you were living previously. If you have
a problem getting back and forth to work, you may decide
to join a carpool and save money while meeting others.

Problem are a learning experience. You don't
actually realize that fire burns until you get burned with
it! Unless a problem occurs, you do not learn why
something happens the way it does. You cannot change your
viewpoints and opinions unless you experience problem
first hand.

Problem make you to become active in helping
others. The organization M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk
Drivers) would have never been born if the founder didn't
lose her daughter in a car accident caused by a drunk
driver. That one death has literally changed all the drunk
driving laws throughout the United States and saved
MILLIONS of lives!

Without problem, we couldn't solve a lot of future
turmoil and save people a lot of money in business. Any
company that introduces a new product will hire people to
try it out before it is introduced to the market. These
people report the problem they find and the company
refines it until it's right. Without problem developing
early in these tests, the company could never
improve and fine tune their product to perfection.

Problem and mistakes are also a blessing in disguise. For
instance, Post-It(R) Notes would never have been made
possible unless the guy at the factory didn't mess up
mixing the glue recipe. Sure, this is an isolated
incident, but it shows just how important mistakes and
problem can be.

However, most people have some perceived notion that
making a mistake or having a problem is "bad." Instead of
looking for ways to SOLVE the problem, they try and live
with it, cover it up and conform their life to accept it.

This is silly! There is no problem that can't be solved.
There is a solution to every single problem you can think
of. The solution may not always be what you want it to be
_ but it's a solution just the same.

And covering it up is like putting a piece of foil over a
piece of spoiled meat and expecting it not to draw
maggots. You have to dispose of the entire thing before
you are finally rid of the problem. Attack the core of the
problem! Dig until you uncover it! Face facts! Admit you
have problem! Stop trying to make people think you are
problem-free. It's unnatural! Where the recognition comes
in from people you are trying to impress is when you
SOLVE problem by facing them and inventing a solution.

So, next time you have a problem, look at it logically and
with enthusiasm. That may sound a little strange but most
problem can be dealt with this way. Love the fact that
you have problem because they will give you something to
work on and solve. They also will give you a way to invent
new ways of doing something - new ways that will save you
time and make you happier with your life. And when you
solve problem, you not only gain experience in solving
other problem as they occur, but you build respect for
yourself. Then you can have the admiration of all those
people you originally started out trying to impress and
gain recognition from if you still care about having it.

You also will find that when you look at problem with a
POSITIVE mind, you will accomplish more, relieve stress
and combat fear which is the worst enemy and destroyer
of all!

Your Personal Safety

The world we live in today is much safer than the one known by
your parents and grandparents. Even considering the constant
bombardment of news to the contrary, the government and industry
have taken some major steps to protect us all. In almost
everything we do, we are surrounded by protection based on
safety experience from the past.

You'll be safer - - but only if you have a strong feeling for
safety. Why? Because many of the safety factors developed to
protect you function only if you do something about them. Do
you buckle your seat belt every time you get in the car? Do
you cross the street at crosswalks instead of jaywalking? Do
you walk or jog on the left side of the road so that you are
facing oncoming traffic? These are just a few of the things
that you know and can do something about.

We all must acknowledge the fact that we bear some of the
responsibility for making our environment safe and safety is
thinking about other people, too. Because in this safety
awareness, we can take steps to help others. For instance,
a jagged piece of metal and certain types of broken bottles
on the street can cause tire problems to cars. Broken glass
on the beach might also send someone to the hospital for
stitches. When you take time to clean up things such as
broken bottles, etc., you're taking a big step toward
protecting others.

An accident is something that happens to you and to others.
It's easy to think that these accidents just happen. Buy
they don't. They're not just bad luck or bad breaks that
come to you out of nowhere. An accident is never supposed
to happen. It isn't planned and it isn't deliberate.
Accidents are caused!

An accident can be caused by an unsafe condition. Look at
your automobile. It can be a typical example of an unsafe
condition. Bad brakes and unsafe tires, faulty headlights,
loose steering, and, yes, even dirty windshields and side
windows can cause accidents, and they are all unsafe
conditions. And along this same line, we need to consider
unsafe acts as also contributing to the cause of accidents.
These are not "conditions." They are what you, or someone
else, does or doesn't do. A good example is jaywalking.
You know it's dangerous to walk out between parked cars to
cross the street, but it's easier than walking down to the
next corner.

Both unsafe conditions and unsafe actions exist, and either
one can cause accidents. But you can put the two together,
as well. That car with the poor brakes, and all the other
unsafe conditions, isn't unsafe at all until someone starts
to use it. It's the act of using that causes the accident.
Oh sure, the car was at fault, but the driver of that car was
the ultimate cause of the accident.

You will find many unsafe conditions in your daily life, but
most of them become truly unsafe based on your own actions
related to them. What causes you to act in an unsafe way?
Is it carelessness? Poor judgement, were you at the wrong
place at the wrong time?

There's never a total absence of risks in our lives. Risks
are voluntary actions and can be managed. Emergencies can
be met and handled, but it takes know-how and constant awareness.
What you can't prevent, you can usually compensate for or
protect against.

Safety experts classify accidents in four broad categories:
Motor vehicle, work and job related, home, and public. The
public category excludes motor vehicle and work accidents in
public places. It covers sports and recreation (swimming,
hunting, etc.), air, water, or land transportation excluding
motor vehicle and public building accidents.

On the average, there are 10 accidental deaths and about
1,000 disabling injuries every hour during the year. About
one-half of the deaths occur in motor vehicle accidents while
about one-third of the injuries occur in and around the home.

It's not hard to imagine adding yourself to the accident
statistics. Any day of the week, you'll be swamped with
stories in the newspapers and on television about the many
tragic accidents going on all over the country and it seems to
be getting worse all the time. And in every case the victim
was somebody who did not plan or expect that they would be hurt
or killed.

In a matter of seconds, everything you were ever going to do
and be can be snuffed out. At the least, you suffer pain and
inconvenience from an accident. At worst, an accident kills or
damages you for life.

Safety saves you, but it does more than that. Mix each safety
ingredient with all of your day to day activities. An use
common sense in everything you do.

Safety in your home is a combination of mind and matter. You
mind must be constantly aware of the home safety dangers. The
matter is the safety condition of your home.

The safety condition of your home isn't a case of rebuilding
things to make it safe. It's more the disposal of dangerous
items, and a case of good housekeeping. A safe home has a place
for everything, and that along with the right mental attitude
about keeping those things in place is just good housekeeping.

The home is the most frequent place for injury accidents to
occur, and it is second only to motor vehicle accidents for
the number of deaths in the country today. Family members are
busier than ever rushing in and out so it's easy to understand
how careless mistakes are often made.

When you read the daily newspaper or watch newscasts on TV,
you'll see that home accidents can be classified in two major
ways. There are things that can totally disrupt your entire
community - - such as earthquakes, tornadoes, storms and floods.

And then there are those kinds of accidents that are centered
in your own home, and not involving the whole community. These
are things like fires, local earth sliding, flooding and wind
damage.

You will need to consider both types when thinking about safety
at home. For the community - wide disasters, you may or may not
receive any outside help for a considerable period of time, and
you must be prepared to survive on your own home resources. With
the second type, your home may be destroyed, but some help should
be there from the outside, early in the experience. Most cities
and communities have some agencies and organizations in place to
assist the public in times of severe emergencies.

It is good for everyone to do a home safety check on a regular
basis and get the family members involved. Naturally, every
family needs to develop its own plan because every house and every
family is different. What you can't prevent, you can usually
compensate for or protect against.

Getting fat.....

Fat problem is a common health problem in the United States. Getting too fat become obesity. The complications of obesity shorten life. Obesity put stress on the body, increase the risk that certain diseases will develop, and worsen existing illnesses. Bones and joints must support extra weight, and the heart and lung must work harder. Fat tissue crowd the organs and reduce their efficiency. Often, obese people have accompanying psychological and social problems, though it may be difficult to determine whether these are cause or effect.

Obese people are more likely than normal to have hypertension and diabetes, and
their triglyceride and cholesterol levels are more likely to be elevated which makes them susceptible to heart disease and stroke. Obesity may also contribute to the development of gallbladder disease. It complicates the treatment and decrease the chances of survival of patients with kidney disease, stroke and other disorders. Obese women are more prone to cancer of breast, cervix and uterus. Obese men run an increased risk of cancer of the colon, rectum and prostate.

Obesity is the storage of excess fat in the body. A person is considered obese if his or her body weight is 20% or more above a desirable weight.

Obesity can be caused by the disorder of the endocrine glands or diseases of the central nervous system, such as a brain tumor or stroke. Usually the cause of obesity is eating more food than the body can use. But there is exception. Because of genetic factors, some people can remain thin despite they eat more food than their bodies can use.

A person of average size with light physical activity need only about 2400 calories per day. men need about 56 gram of protein per day and women need about 44 gram. 7 oz of ground beef with 10% fat has 50 gram of protein which can contribute 250 calories. A meal with 4 slices of whole-wheat bread, 1 baked potato (148 gram),
1 cup of cooked corn, and 1 apple contain about 780 calories. If we eat 3 meals a day, that will be about 2340 calories. Together with the meat, that is already 2590 calories, more than that we need.

Moreover, the food I show you here are natural food which tend to have less calories than the processed and refined food. On top of that, we sometimes add some condiment which can contribute quite a few calories. One tablespoon of honey has 60 calories. One tablespoon of oyster sauce has about 25 calories. You see. My point here is to show you how easily you can overeat. You should be careful of the calories you are acquiring.

Obese people tend to eat food that has a lot of meat, sugar and fat. Sugar is
100% carbohydrate and yield 385 calories per half cup (100 grams) but contain no other nutrients. Meat provide protein, a necessary nutrient and yield about the same amount of calorie as the carbohydrate. Fat yield 900 calories per 100 grams, more than twice as much as either carbohydrate or protein. Now you can see that fat and
sugar contain a lot of energy. Lean meat do not have many calories but the fact that meat usually carry some fat that make meat a high energy food. Cake, bacon, ice cream, cheese, nuts, candy, fried food, chocolate, corned beef, spareribs, butter, margarines and pie have a lot of sugar and fat. Fried food is a high energy food because oil has a lot of calorie in it. Just one tablespoon of oil contain 120 calories. I don't mean you should not eat these food. But do not eat too much of them.

The excess of carbohydrates and proteins that we eat are turned into fat. But the fact that we eat too much fat is more likely the contributing factor of being obese. Fat cannot be excreted from our body. They are stored and accumulated inside our body. They disappear naturally through metabolism and physical activities.

To avoid getting fat, eat food with less calorie. Food with less calorie are fruit and vegetable or food with more fibre. Refined food are usually have more calorie.

Food Calorie Finder.

Count your calorie.

How to get a good night sleep

Having good sleep is an utmost importance to a good health.
If you need sleeping pills to help you get to sleep, you might
get yourself into a health problem. Try some of the methods
below see if you can get to sleep without pills.

1. Try to relax before bedtime; take a walk or read a newspaper;
just do something which is not stressful.

2. Do your paperwork or other work-related activities early in
the evening.

3. Make sure your bedroom is not noisy.

4. If your bedroom is noisy and you can't correct it, wear earplugs.

5. Think of places you fell asleep easily and try to copy those
places; set your room up the same way.

6. Check the medicines you are taking to see that they aren't
nervous system stimulants.

7. Make sure your bedroom is well-ventilated but not too cold.

8. Don't use too many or too few blankets.

9. Don't tuck your sheets in too tight at the bottom of the bed;
your feet should feel free and unrestricted.

10. Your mattress should not sag.

11. Have a big enough bed for yourself; if you're 6'8", don't try
sleeping in a single bed.

12. Your pajamas or nightgown should be comfortable, not too tight.

13. Use a pillow that suits you, soft or firm, whichever you
prefer; or not at all, if that's what you prefer.

14. If you like a soft light on while you sleep, have one on.

15. If you prefer to sleep in darkness make sure your blinds are
thick.

16. Rise at the same time seven days a week, no matter what.

17. Do not linger in bed when you wake up; instead, get up right
away and start moving on with your morning routine.

18. Avoid napping in the afternoon.

19. Do some sort of physical exercise each day which will tire
you out.

20. Cut down on smoking and drinking alcohol at least two hours
before bedtime.

21. Don't drink coffee or soft drinks containing caffeine after
dinner.

22. If you like to watch TV before going to bed, keep it light;
watch a comedy instead of a drama.

23. If you like to read before going to bed, keep it light. Read
to a logical stopping point, so you won't lie awake wondering
what's going to happen.

24. Don't socialize with friends with whom you are likely to
argue in the evening. Nighttime arguments are like poison to an
insomniac.

25. Establish a regular bed-time.

26. Avoid eating too much salt with your dinner and in any
after-dinner snacks.

27. Try eating snacks high in calcium and protein before
retiring; small amounts of cheese and nuts contain Tryptophan,
an amino acid which promotes sleep.

28. Take bone meal tablets or some other form of calcium
regularly after dinner.

29. Herbal teas such as camomile and valerian induce sleep.

30. Try a teaspoon of brewer's yeast and a tablespoon of molasses
in a glass of milk.

31. Don't forget about a glass of warm milk before bed; it does
work.

32. A teaspoon of honey in a cup of hot water is said to induce
sleep.

33. Another old-fashioned remedy is to take two teaspoons of cider
vinegar with two teaspoons honey in a glass of warm water.

34. Ask your spouse which sleeping position you sleep most soundly
in; try to assume that position upon retiring.

35. Don't go for 8 hours of sleep; you may only need 4 to 6 hours.

36. Spend no more than 3 minutes thinking about the day's problems
when you are in bed.

37. If you find it difficult to sleep with your spouse, try getting
twin beds or separate bedrooms.

38. The optimum temperature for sleep is 60 to 64 degrees F.

39. Relax before bed in a warm bath.

40. Buy a humidifier to keep your room warm in the winter without
drying out the air too much.

41. Our body need certain kinds of food, not just any food, to meet the requirement in providing the necessary nutrients to maintain a healthy operation. Our body system operation is not a simple mechanism. It is not possible to tell you the details involved in this topic in one article. If I need to give you the detail of what nutrients do in what function of our body system operation, I can write a whole book for that. For now in here, I am trying to give you a whole picture in summary of how much and what kind of food we need to maintain a healthy body and why.

Our body need nutrients of vitamin, mineral, carbohydrates, protein, fat, cholesterol and liquid. There are various kinds of vitamins and minerals. Each kind do a specific role in our body system operation. We almost need all of them. We are most likely can not take in all of them in one time. We can take in some in one meal and the others in another meal. Some foods contain some of the vitamin and minerals more, the other foods contain the other vitamins and minerals more. To make sure we have all kinds of vitamins and minerals, we should eat different kinds of food in different meals and try a wide variety of food. If somehow we can not take in enough certain kind of vitamin and mineral, we should take some vitamin and mineral supplement.

Carbohydrates mainly give us energy that we need to maintain the operation of our body system and to support our daily mental and physical activities. Although fat and protein can also give us energy, but our main source of energy should come from carbohydrates. Most carbohydrates occur in plant life. Grain carry the most carbohydrates. The most common grain that the farmer grow are wheat, oat and rice. The farmer also grow a lot of corn and potato which also give us carbohydrates. You can find a lot of carbohydrates in bread, rice, tortilla, cereal, oatmeal, noodle, potato, corn, and pasta. Honey, bean, sugar, syrup, apple, banana, pea, grape, pear, cabbage, broccoli, carrot, milk and cauliflower also contain some carbohydrates.

Since the cells of our body are composed mainly of protein. Thus protein is required for cell growth. In all stages of our life, cell is constantly being broken down and must be replaced by dieting protein. Protein are also needed for the formation of enzyme, antibody and hormone to maintain the proper function of our body. Protein are our body's only source of nitrogen. Without protein, we cannot survive for long. Most of the protein are from animal source. Some of the protein come from vegetable, especially the bean, but those are incomplete protein. I can not see why the vegetarian do it without animal protein if they want to be healthy. If plant protein is preferred, it must be consumed with some animal protein in the same meal because your body need complete protein to process into various kind of proteins that your body need. The animal source of protein we can get from the market are beef, pork, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, milk, cheese and egg. Bean, nut, pea, rice, bread, lentil, and corn are main source of plant protein.

Fat is also an essential nutrient. Fat is an essential part of every cell wall and of the membrane within the cell. Fat beneath the skin to insulate the body from excessive heat or cold. It protect the joint, sole, palm and buttock from outside pressure and vital organ from physical trauma. Fat also serve as a carrier of fat-soluble vitamin. Almost all kinds of food contain fat. Some more, some less. Animal fat are mainly saturated fat. Too much saturated fat in our body are major cause for heart disease and stroke. Plant fat are mainly unsaturated fat. However, some plant fat are highly saturated, such as palm oil, coconut oil and chocolate. Unsaturated fat, if hydrogenated, become a different kind of fat called trans-fat. Trans-fat is a health risk because it raise cholesterol level of human being. Actually, we do not need oil to cook food because most food contain fat that we need. However, cooking food with oil can add favor to our food. If we want to cook food with oil, use vegetable oil.

Our body need cholesterol because it is a major part of brain and nerve tissue and a structured material in body cell. It is also necessary in the production of bile salt, vitamin D, some hormone including cortisone and sex hormone. Our daily dietary cholesterol intake should not exceed 300 mg. All natural food from animal source contain cholesterol. Plant food do not contain cholesterol. If we consume certain amount of animal food product every day we should get enough cholesterol. Egg, brain and organ meat contain a high level of cholesterol. People with high blood cholesterol are venerable to many diseases.

Water makes up one half to two thirds of the weight of an adult. It is an essential part of every cell and is the basic substance of blood, lymph, and body secretions. Water is an important regulator, for all chemical reactions in the body take place in its presence. Water also regulate body temperature. How can we do without water. Many food come in the form of liquid, such as tea, coffee, milk and juice which are mainly water.

Water permit nutrients to be digested, absorbed. Water are also needed to form feces. Fat can make vitamin A, D. E, and K dissolved and to be absorbed. Fruit are rich in vitamin C which can aid digestion. Vegetable are rich in vitamin and mineral. Protein is the only supplier of nitrogen to the body. Carbohydrate is necessary in the proper use of fat. Carbohydrate encourage the growth of some intestinal bacteria that are involved in the production of certain vitamin and in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. As you can see, the above-mentioned nutrients are inter-dependent in the digesting and absorbing process. We must include them all in a meal. Fiber, which is not a nutrient, can absorbs and hold water, resulting in a softer, bulkier stool and faster movement of feces through the intestinal tract to discharge thus preventing constipation and diverticulosis. Fiber should also be included in every meal. Whole grain, fruit and vegetable are rich in fiber.

If you are healthy, your body must be in balance. That means you are neither acidic nor alkaline. To maintain your balance, you must eat a balance of acid-forming foods and alkaline-forming foods. Most of the food are classified into acid-forming and alkaline-forming. Some are stronger, some are weaker.
Grain products are acid-forming. Animal products are acid-forming. Bean is acid-forming. Fruit and vegetable are alkaline-forming. Milk and dairy products have a lot of alkali but also contain a little acid. Now you can see why we must eat fruit and vegetable to balance each meal.

So a healthy meal should have some grain product, animal product, fruit, vegetable and liquid. According to a study, if you eat three meals a day, in each meal you should have 2-4 servings of grain product, 2-3 servings of fruit and vegetable, 1-2 servings of animal product and a glass of drink. If you have a labor job which require a lot of physical activities or do a lot of exercise, then eat 4 servings of grain product. If you are small or less than 100 pounds, for example, then you can eat only one servings of animal product. If you have a glass of milk for the drink, then eat less animal product. If you have a glass of orange juice then eat less fruit and vegetables. If you eat 4 servings of grain product and 2 servings of animal products which both are acidic, then you should eat 3 servings of fruit and vegetables to balance it.

If you follow the food principle that I have outlined here you should not have malnutrition or overweight problem. If you consistently eat to the contrary of the food principle you should have health problem.

Food Additive

When you buy canned food, processed or prepared food, you can notice that there are other ingredients besides the main stuff. The other ingredients are called food additives. Food additives are substances that they put into the food to preserve the food or to make the food to look more attractive, to smell better and to be more tasty. The things they put in are preservative, antioxidant, stabilizer, emulsifier, and coloring and flavoring agents. The vitamin and mineral that they put into the food to increase their nutritional value are also called food additive. You usually can find them in grain products like enriched flour, enriched rice and pasta. Most of the grain product you can buy in US are enriched. The vitamin and mineral they usually put in are niacin, iron, vitamin B1, B2 and folic acid. Some of the drink and other food are also enriched. Examples are fortified milk and vitamin-added and mineral-added fruit juice. They usually put in calcium, vitamin A, C and D. There are other nutritional food additives such as sesame and honey.

While some of the food additives have nutritional value, most of them don't. There are three kinds of them. Naturally-ocurring food additive are uaually natural vegetation such as ginger, bay leaf, and licorice. You can find them in food such as ginger bread, ginger ale, stewed meat and some kind of Oriental food. They usually don't have toxin to human body, but do not consume too much of them. They are not food but spices. Some of them may have medical effect on your body. Semi-naturally-occurring food additive are additive that are extracted, and processed from natural source. Examples are vanilla, margarine, cola, and soy sauce. They don't usually hurt your body, but your body usually don't need them. Why should our body have to digest and process the food that our body do not need? Give your body system a break. Your body system have been working very hard for you every day.

Man-made food additive are additive that are made or synthesized by human from chemical. Some of the common man-made food additives are potassium lactate, blue 2, monosodium glutamate, and sodium bicarbonate. They usually are toxin to human body. They may do bodily harm and cause health problem if you consume too much of them. You can find potassium lactate in hot dog, bacon and sausage. Some of the Oriental food may contain monosodium glutamate. Most of the fruit-favored drink and some kind of prepared food may contain blue 2 and other food-coloring chemical. Sodium bicarbonate can usually be found in bread, biscuit and some kind of beverage. Some of the man-made food additive are outright detrimental. Saccharin are known for causing cancer. Nitrous acid can also cause cancer in the absence of vitamin C. Calcium carbonate can cause osteomalacia.

Most of the healthy food additive are naturally-occuring or semi-naturally-occuring.
Let me give you some examples. Olive oil can increase the good cholesterol and improve memory. Black pepper can help prevent some kind of carcinoma. Linseed can lower the bad cholesterol and lower the risk of getting breast cancer. Tomato sauce can lower the risk of getting cardiovascular disease. Horseradish sauce can help the liver to process toxin, thus lower the risk of getting carcinoma. Cinnamon can stabalize the glucose in the blood.

Most of the time I only buy fresh and natural food such as vegetable, fruit, meat and grain. Almost all the time I prepare my own meals. And I seldom eat junk food. They call them junk food because they have none or little nutritional value but have a lot of additives. IF you have to eat canned food, processed food or prepared food, make sure what is in there. You want to keep your body pure. Too much toxin and waste inside your body will prevent you to die naturally at your old age. That mean you will have pain and suffering later.

An apple a day, keep your doctor away

According to an American study, apple has a lot of antioxidant flavonoid, gelatin, Vitamin C, fiber and other Vitamin and mineral. It is hard especially when we are old and sick. We will then suffer from pain and humiliation. We may have to depend on other people to be taken care of to live on.

At our 90's, most of us will be confined to a wheelchair and in some kind of disease with pain and sufferings, and other people will manipulate or even abuse us, even by our close relatives. And we will suffer from more pain and stress as a result. We even cannot live to the age of 90's. Many people die before they reach 90 from disease, accident or bodily harm from other people, substance or natural disaster.

It is happening every day even in an affluent and advanced country like in America. You can imagine how bad it is in other backward countries. Life can be more beautiful than that.

But some people can die naturally. They just die of old age, not because of disease or bodily failure. They just pass away during their sleep without pain. They still can walk and cook for themselves the night before they die naturally during their sleep. Disease or bodily failure bring us pain and suffering, not old age. We don't have to have disease or bodily failure just because we are old. If we can keep ourselves away from disease and live naturally to keep our body pure, we can die naturally -- to die dignifiedly without pain and abuse.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 287px; height: 194px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PKnf-3F-mfE/TLkCC1_X5RI/AAAAAAAAAHk/wdojyD5fm7k/s320/oldlife2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528452265449874706" />

Accident or bodily harm from other people can mostly be avoided if we know better how to protect ourselves.

Life can be more beautiful if you know how to live better. I am going to share here with you on how to live better.

Money is an important part of our life. Money problem can be hurtful. So I am going to talk about money matter too.
